Reaping the Rewards

The growing season is well upon us and the Growing Health plot holders are beginning to reap the rewards of their new allotments!
After all the hard work that was put into developing the allotments during 2015/16, over 20 families and community groups are now seeing the fruits of their labour! Produce from beetroot to lettuce and carrots to peas are being grown by people of all ages, from toddler to retirement age. Communities have also been created, whether it’s plot holders helping each other out or just sitting together relaxing and enjoying their surrounding environment. Lasting relationships have been formed as part of the project, as well and giving people to eat healthier and spend time outdoors!

Above are before and after photo of the new Priory Road Community Allotments in Stone!!
